Halloween Half Term Fun at Newlands
Halloween is one of our favourite times of year here at Newlands. Every October the park takes on a dark and ghoulish theme, as we don our witches’ hats and brew up a hair-raising mix of activities, games and fun events for all ages.
This year, we’ve got monster mat making, the haunted nature trail, the witches’ walk, pumpkin carving and lots more spooky goings on. The ever-popular haunted alley will also be returning on Thursday and Friday, and we will also have our Halloween Party on Saturday night (1st November) with live music.
We’ve got a couple of fantastic last minute offers if you’re interested in a last minute break at the park:
• Get 7 nights touring for the price of 6 from 24th Oct – 31st Oct.
• Get £100 off a 7 night booking or £60 off a short break during October Half Term (24th Oct-2nd Nov)
Both of these offers are valid from 15th October – please call 01297 560259 and quote the offer at the time of booking.
Things to Do Outside the Park
Lyme Regis Walking Festival
Last year’s Lyme Regis Walking Festival was a huge success, and it’s back again for its second year on November 1st-9th.
As well as getting to experience the South West Coastal Path, described as ‘One of the finest walks in the world’ by Lonely Planet, visitors can join in a series of guided walks in which they can learn about the history, literary connections and unique geography of the area.
Abbotsbury Enchanted Gardens
From October 15th, the Subtropical Gardens in Abbotsbury will be bathed in light and colour for their annual illuminations. Coloured floodlights and candles will light up the exotic plants, trees and lily ponds, creating a unique, romantic setting for an evening walk every night until 2nd November.
There will also be special Halloween Fun Evenings from Thursday 30th October to Saturday 1st November, with a laser rave, a creepy-crawly tent and free face-painting.
