Lyme Folk Weekend
Enjoy numerous live music acts and performing at Lyme Folk Weekend. A firm fixture on the Dorset music calendar which takes place between 30th August – 1st September. This popular annual event features some of the regions best loved folk artists – a chance to discover some previously undiscovered listening pleasures. Over the course of weekend artists will perform across a number of venues by the sea in Lyme Regis, just a short drive from our West Dorset Holiday Park.
What's on
Perhaps the most notable name in the Lyme Folk Weekend 2019 programme is Jon Boden, who previously fronted the band Bellowhead. The well-known folk performer will open proceedings at The Marine Theatre on Friday 30th August, doors open at 7pm. This appearance will mark his return to Lyme Regis for his first appearance in the seaside town since 2013. Support comes from Askew Sisters - who have made a name for themselves with contemporary renditions of old dance music and balladry.
The Marine Theatre
On Saturday 31st August Ninebarrow & Friends perform at The Marine Theatre. Sunday 1st September sees Sam Sweeney – The Unfinished Violin take to the stage at the same venue. Only the events at The Marine Theatre are ticketed, the rest of the performances across the weekend are free to attend! Tickets for individual concerts or a weekend pass are available from the Lyme Folk Weekend website.
