Park maintenance at Newlands this winter
Our Charmouth holiday park has been closed over the winter months. Our grounds staff have certainly been keeping busy maintaining our beautiful green spaces. We thought we'd give an update on park maintenance developments while we prepare for our spring opening in March.
This winter is a great time for the grounds staff to tackle various hedges around the park. Not only is this type of park maintenance beneficial for the animals and wildlife that call Newlands home, but it also makes things easier to manage in the future.
The works have included lots of hedge laying tree work around the site. Plus the replanting of a completely new, more formal hedge in the main car park, which come spring will provide wonderful changing colour throughout the year. Other areas of the park that have been focused on include our dog friendly walking space and our play area.
In addition, Copper beach Trees have been planted throughout the site as well as approximately 1500 bulbs too. In just a couple of months time the park will be bursting into flower.
We have a lot exciting site developments currently taking place at Newlands - watch this space for further updates!
