Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week is back for another year and promises to be better than ever before.
It's always a busy time at
Newlands Holidays, with guests flocking to the area to enjoy the nearby celebrations. The event is run by Lyme Regis & Charmouth Lifeboat Supporters who do a fantastic job of organising seven days full of fun activities for all the family. Over the course of the week there will be numerous demonstrations, entertainment, challenges and knowledge building.
A celebrity opening
Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week 2019 will be officially opened by the actor John Challis – the star of the timeless TV classic 'Only Fools and Horses'.
What's new in 2019
New attractions set to be included in the 2019 programme will be an Abba Tribute with a Mama Mia Sing-a-Long screened at the
Marine Theatre. Event organisers are also promising a fancy dress competition and a pub quiz as further additions to the week.
Old favourites
There will be plenty of the old favourites making a welcome return such as the duck race, bath tub race, swimming challenges, fun runs, illuminated boats and planes, and the Red Devils Freefall Parachute Display team. Also in-keeping with the tradition of the event, a closing firework display rounds-off the week.
Lyme Regis Lifeboat Week Programme
A programme containing details of all the week’s activities is available to purchase

All proceeds from the Lifeboat Week go to the RNLI. The event has been raising money for the life-saving charity since the 1970s, and in recent years manages to raise in excess of £30,000 each time. Here's to another successful week of fun and fundraising this year!
